Parents: A New Blog Help Manage Family & Finance

I am proud to announce a new web project that just went live: KidsandBills.com.

KidsandBills.com is a site dedicated to helping parents deal with balancing both family and finances. The site is a compilation of helpful articles for parents by parents.

As publisher of the site, I am not an expert in either finances or parenting. However, I do have real life experience in both. Raising three kids on a single income has made it imperative to be smart with my money and find resources to be a better a parent and provider. My goal was to develop a place to share with others; great information and stories on raising kids in today’s difficult economy. Help me make KidsandBills.com that place.

Kids & Bills has accounts on both Facebook and Twitter in order to share and socialize with parents. If you are on Facebook you can fan our page here. Follow KidsandBills on Twitter to get the latest updates and join in on the discussion. We follow back all legitimate accounts and are trying to build a strong network of parents helping parents.

The articles on the site are written by a mix of professionals in finance and family, bloggers, authors, and real life parents. KidsandBills.com is putting together a staff of contributors to provide regular posts. This is a great opportunity for authors and bloggers looking to promote a business or website. Entries Wanted: Best of Print 09

This year I am kicking off a new contest looking for the best in print. The Best of Print 09 will showcase the best print projects and services for the calendar year 2009. Categories will be determined by the types of entries received. The contest is now open to anyone with something great to share.

How does it work?

If you have a project, product, service, or anything else ”print” related that you had something to do with in 2009, please submit it for entry. I am looking for the best designs, marketing pieces, promotional products, unique use of print, and printing services.

Enter by submitting an image(s) of your work to my group on Flickr. (You will need to have a Flickr account and join – if you don’t have one, its free)

Add your image to my group and please be sure to include….

1. A description of your entry

2. Suggested category (best business card design, best marketing piece, best large format graphic…)

3. Any information you would like included: name, company, website, twitter name…

As I receive entries I will choose the most creative and best projects to be showcased in an article to be published at the end of the year.

What do I Win?

Get the Best Deals Online via Twitter

Are you on twitter? Do you use online printing/photo/design products or services?

If so, follow @printdeals for the best deals and promotions.

I recently launched a new twitter account that tweets the best deals and services online that relate to printing, photo, design, marketing or any other product or services to help you save money when creating things online.

By following @printdeals you will receive a new tweet every hour with a special coupon or promotion. Additionally, you can visit the twitter page and browse the history of previously sent tweets for a huge list of great deals and promotions.

I used to do this with my personal twitter account (@printedproof). I have since moved all deals, discounts, promotions, and coupons to @printdeals. At the time of writing this I have over 3000 awesome followers and did not want to supply hourly tweets that may be unexpected or irrelevant to them. I hate spam, and would hate to be considered in that category.

When you follow @printdeals on twitter you will be followed back. I do this so that my followers are able to DM me questions or tweets to be added to the list. I run this account manually and is updated everyday. This is not a bot account so you can ask questions and send me any requests.
